Dear Sirs,

It was a pleasure to have you attend our DAR November, 2018 meeting. Your presentation on the Dr. Susan LaFlesche Picotte Hospital was excellent. It is such a worthwhile project and we would be honored to support your efforts to restore the building.

As you explained in the presentation, the restoration of this National Historic Landmark that she built in 1913 will help to promote the legacy of Dr. Picotte, who was the first Native American doctor, and will provide important resources to the community of Walthill and the entire Omaha Reservation.

We applaud your current work to ascertain the physical condition of the building, the restoration cost, and the strategic planning that will determine what functions and services it will contain.

Please keep us updated on your progress and let us know how the DAR can provide ongoing support.
